Message from the Registrar

Dear New Panther Family,

We thank you for choosing our school and hope you are having an amazing summer!  You may already be aware that Bradenton Prep Academy’s name is changing for the next academic year to GEMS United School.  Due to this name change, some of our traditional welcome information was delayed but will be coming out in the next few weeks once everything is confirmed. Below is some general information until our welcome packet is ready.

FALL ORIENTATION (PRE-K-GR12):   We will have an all school orientation this fall on Thursday, August 30th.  At this time, elementary students will receive their class assignments and secondary students will receive their class schedules.  You will also have the opportunity meet teachers, do KHDA registration, speak with admissions, obtain parking passes, obtain parent badges, and learn more about our new canteen provider, Slices.

SCHOOL NAME CHANGES THIS SUMMER: During the summer, our website will change to, our Facebook page will change to our new school name, Instagram & Twitter will become @GEMS_US and all of our school email addresses will change extensions to  We will advise registered parents when these changes take place, but we want you to be aware these changes will take place over the summer holidays.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS: GEMS United School uniforms will be available for purchase beginning July 20th for regular school uniforms (grades 1-12) and mid-August for PE kits and Pre-K - KG2 school uniforms (according to current information from Threads).  As soon as these later dated items are available, we will notify parents.

Students will still have the option to continue wearing BPA uniforms in the fall as the only change to the existing uniform is our school logo. SPECIAL NOTE: If Pre-K-KG2 school uniforms, PE and swim kits are not ready in time for the start of the academic year, students may wear solid color navy blue shorts and a white, or navy blue t-shirt.  No large logos, no wording, no pictures.  For swim kits, students may wear their personal swimsuit.

Also, please be advised when shopping for school shoes, all students in grades 1-12 are REQUIRED to wear ALL BLACK shoes, including black soles and laces.  Pre-K and Kindergarten students should wear comfortable closed toed shoes (no crocs or sandals) and they may be any color.

ADMISSIONS: During the summer, we will be sending individual reminders regarding any pending admissions documents for your child, please provide them as soon as you are able so we can be better prepared for your child’s arrival. For Grade 2 to Grade 12 students joining us from outside of Dubai, please remember to provide a transfer certificate (information attached).  In addition, we understand if you are new to Dubai, ID and Visa documents do take time, but please provide them to us once you are able.

SUMMER SCHOOL HOURS:  The admissions department and accounting office will be open Sunday—Thursday from 8am-2pm, excluding public holidays.  If you require assistance during the summer, please contact our Receptionist at 04 818 3600/3610.

Please let me know if you have any questions and see you at the end of the summer!
